Why is the DJI Mini series reduced to 249 grams?

The DJI Mini 3, which weighs less than 249 grams, is lightweight and portable, takes off in most countries without registration or training *, regulations are friendly, and aerial photography is easier. Whether it's a beach event, a family dinner, or a hike, you can easily slip into your backpack or pocket and be on your way.
During the development of the DJI Mini 3 series (DJI Mini 3 and DJI Mini 3 Pro), product managers encountered a dilemma: Mini series users expected better image performance, longer battery life and better smart shooting features, but these features needed more hardware to support.

The challenge of maintaining the 249g weight and expanding the functionality is daunting. Engineers chose to start with materials and configurations. In order to reduce the weight, engineers have adopted various methods. For example, under the premise of ensuring the body strength, feel and use experience, the arm thickness has been successfully reduced to the manageable process limit, and even all the screws of the DJI Mini 3 Pro have been replaced with lighter titanium alloy materials.
Engineers also spent a lot of time and energy on the configuration, drawing more than a dozen schemes and mechanical configurations, and two schemes were also knocked down in the mold stage. All for the design of a better configuration, to ensure that even in 4000 meters of plateau areas or force 5 wind environment, the DJI Mini 3 series can still be excellent shooting tasks.
The style of the film is full, the hand is the master
DJI Mini 3 has both hardcore video strength and excellent intelligent shooting function, and novices can also straight out big movies. It features a 1/1.3-inch sensor, 2.4μm (4-in-1) large pixels, f/1.7 aperture, dual native ISO and chip-level HDR technology for 4K HDR video. It can also shoot a one-button short film (fade/circle/spiral/skyward/comet), supporting non-destructive vertical shooting.
